Terms of service

By submitting a trade-in request to TurnLab, you agree to the following Trade-In Terms & Conditions.


1. Device Ownership & Legality

You confirm that you are the legal owner of the device being traded in and that it is not stolen, lost, blacklisted, or subject to any outstanding finance, contract obligations, or third-party claims.


2. Activation Locks & Accounts

All devices must be fully unlocked and free from any activation or security locks, including but not limited to:

- iCloud / Apple ID locks

- Google / Android locks

- Any other account or security restrictions

- Devices that remain locked after arrival may be rejected.


3. Device Condition Accuracy

The condition selected during the trade-in process must accurately reflect the device sent. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Screen condition

- Housing / frame condition

- Camera functionality

- Speaker and microphone functionality

- Battery health

- Internal faults or liquid damage

- Devices found to be misdescribed may receive a revised offer.


4. Instant Quotes

Instant quotes are estimates only, based on the information provided by the customer.
Final offers are confirmed only after the device has been physically inspected by TurnLab.

By submitting a trade-in request, you acknowledge that the quoted value may change following inspection.


5. Revised Offers

If the device condition differs from the original description, TurnLab may issue a revised offer.

You will have the option to:

- Accept the revised offer, or

- Decline the revised offer

No payment will be issued until an offer is accepted.


6. Returns & Rejected Offers

If a revised offer is declined, the device can be returned upon payment of return shipping costs.

- Return shipping fees must be paid before the device is dispatched

- Devices are returned via tracked delivery

- Devices are held securely for up to 7 days awaiting return payment

If no response or payment is received within this period, TurnLab reserves the right to proceed at its discretion.


7. Rejected Devices

Devices may be rejected if they are:

- Significantly misdescribed

- Activation-locked

- Damaged beyond economical repair

- Not the device originally declared

- Rejected devices are subject to the return process outlined above.


8. Data Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all personal data has been removed from the device prior to shipping.

TurnLab is not responsible for any personal data remaining on devices received.


9. Shipping to TurnLab

Customers are responsible for safely packaging devices when shipping them to TurnLab.
TurnLab is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging during transit.


10. Right to Refuse

TurnLab reserves the right to refuse any trade-in request or device at its discretion.
